The patented MKII-BUD Buddy Phone® transceiver has an acoustic underwater telephone originally designed for professional Search & Rescue Teams. It is US Navy Approved and being used by many Government divers around the world. The MKII-BUD is configured for the all styles of Interspiro (IS) and the new Guardian full face mask (ffm). Although it is still used with Search & Rescue Teams and Militaries commands, the Sport and Movie Industry are quickly standardizing on it. MKII-BUD is well known throughout the world as the highest quality underwater communications system available.
MKII-BUD uses ultrasonic upper single sideband for transmission. The MKII-BUD comes complete with the Push-to-talk button, a patented HotMic® (studio-quality, water proof microphone), and the main transceiver.
The Buddy Phone® D2 is a digital, micro-miniature, ultrasonic transceiver allowing communication between two or more scuba divers or surface stations. Using “Digital Signal Processing” (DSP) techniques, the Buddy Phone produces uncompromising speech clarity.The Buddy Phone® D2 differs from our standard MKII-BUDBuddy Phone in that it is digitally controlled and has some fantastic new features such as: a voice menu to guide you adjust your Volume, change from channel A to Channel B or put the Buddy Phone in a continuous voice transmission mode.
